What HelmMatrix can do

Navigation and every system aboard, in one place

Charts

  • A free worldwide chart stored on the unit, so it works offline.
  • Sea-depth shading.
  • Your own echo-sounder depths are added to the map as you cruise.
  • Optional, anonymous depth sharing with other HelmMatrix boats builds better charts for everyone.
  • Support for electronic navigational charts (ENC) that owners buy themselves.

Sonar

  • CHIRP fish-finder display.
  • Down imaging.
  • Flasher view.

AIS & NAVTEX

  • Built-in receivers (receive only).
  • AIS ships appear on the chart and on the radar.
  • NAVTEX warnings are marked on the chart.

Radar

  • Works with most network (Ethernet) marine radars: broadband and solid-state, radome and open array.
  • Full-screen radar with range, gain, sea and rain controls.
  • Doppler colours where the radar has them.
  • Target tracking (ARPA) with collision warnings, guard zones and AIS overlay.
  • The radar picture and tracked targets can be shown on the chart.
  • Radars that send tracked targets over NMEA 0183 are supported too.

Autopilot & digital steering

  • Heading control.
  • Adjustable rate of turn.

Multiview

  • Sonar, chart, radar and engine data side by side on one screen.

Weather

  • On-board weather station data.
  • Internet weather for the boat’s position.
  • 5-day marine forecast graphic.

Boat systems

  • Digital switchboard.
  • Tank levels, including black-water drain.
  • DC and AC power monitoring.
  • Engine dashboard: rpm, temperatures, oil pressure, fuel flow and hours.

CCTV

  • Live view of the boat’s IP cameras (ONVIF / RTSP).

Who we are

What we collect and why

Your name, email address and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, country, vessel details and message. We use them only to reply to you about HelmMatrix. Our legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.

How it is handled

The form sends your details to us by email. They are not stored in a database on this website, not sold and not shared with third parties for marketing. We keep the email for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and for no more than 24 months after our last contact unless you become a customer.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics. Its fonts are hosted on this site.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by emailing us. You can also complain to Malta's Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idpc.org.mt).
